Avada Kedavra

Avada Kedavra is the most powerful spell in the wizard world of Harry Potter. Many of the spells in Harry’s world have names that sound like what they are; synonymous for the harm, healing, or act that they perform. Avada Kedavra, on the other hand, sounds like “abracadabra”, which isn’t endowed with as much malevolence. It is commonly called the killing curse and that is exactly what it does. Once you use Avada Kedavra on someone there is no spell or charm that can revive the person. Sure, that person may be a ghost if he or she decides to be a ghost, but it is just not the same. This curse is never used by good wizards, it is only used by a group of evil wizards known as the Death Eaters.

Death Eaters have no problems with good wizards, but only if they are 100% wizards, they despise muggles or anybody associating with them even if they are pure wizards. The only person to survive Avada Kedavra is none other than Harry Potter. Harry Potter is immune to this curse because his mother sacrificed herself which put a really good protection spell on her son, but the consequence was her life. Even though this curse is very dangerous, it can be avoided by countering it with another spell or simply dodging it. Although Harry Potter survives his first encounter with the killing curse, he sees more and more of its wicked potential as life goes on.

Also, someone using Avada Kedavra cannot use it on someone with the same core wands, which is rare since everyone has their own custom wand, but there are rare chances where two people can have the same core wand, but more rare if they show up at the wrong place, wrong time. Which means that Harry Potter and Voldemort’s final battle will be most interesting.
